DESCRIPTION:Question-Persuade-Refer (QPR) is an evidence-based training for the general public (ages 16+). Learn how to reach out to someone who may be struggling and provide life-saving support. The training includes videos\, a slideshow\, and a group role play. \nFor 2026\, we are offering this training for free quarterly on last Fridays from 12:30-2pm in the Komansky Room at The Westport Library. Bring your lunch. Coffee and snacks provided. \nPlease note that at least 5 attendees are required for a training to take place. We also ask you not to attend any suicide prevention training if you have been personally affected by suicide in the past 6 months. \nWe offer QPR group trainings to organizations in our catchment area upon request (English or Spanish)\, as well as other training programs. Please email Margaret at mwatt@positivedirections.org if interested in this option.
