Who We Work With.
We can provide medication management to clients ages 12 and up who are in counseling here at Positive Directions. Concurrent counseling is a requirement to receive medication management services.
Cost should never be the reason someone goes without support.
We never turn anyone away for inability to pay. Medication management at Positive Directions is affordable.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?
Yes. We prescribe controlled substances when they are clinically appropriate, in line with state and clinical guidelines. The prescriber makes that decision with you.
Do you offer urgent appointments?
We are not an urgent care or crisis service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or 211, option 1 (for Connecticut mobile crisis). For non-urgent medication needs, we will get you scheduled as quickly as our calendar allows.
Do I need to be in counseling for medication management?
Yes. We provide medication management only for clients who are also in counseling at Positive Directions.
What insurance do you accept?

Will my counselor talk to the prescriber?
Coordinated care is a strength of working with our team. We will talk with you about how your Positive Directions counselor and prescriber collaborate to give you the best care.
